111 rue Vinet is the Vinet-side entrance of Le Belvedere, the six-storey condominium built in 1989 at the corner of Vinet and Sainte-Cunegonde in Little Burgundy. The City's roll records 34 residential units on this side and 32 more at 2400 rue Sainte-Cunegonde, which together give the 66 units the building is usually credited with; the two doors share a block, a construction year and, according to listings on both sides, the same courtyard, garage and pair of elevators. Units tend to be generous by the standards of the period, with two or three bedrooms, open living areas, a balcony or loggia, central air, a locker and indoor parking, and the southwest corner apartments look straight down the Lachine Canal. The building faces the canal bike path and is steps from Atwater Market, the Vinet pool and library, and the Lionel-Groulx and Charlevoix metro stations. It should not be confused with 90-100 rue Vinet next door, which belong to the older Cours Charlevoix loft conversion.
Worth knowing: À savoir : The name Le Belvedere comes from listing text and property aggregators rather than a syndicate registration or developer document, and the 66-unit, six-storey figure for the whole complex is an aggregator figure that happens to match the roll rather than an independently verified one.
