Albert Square is a very small project at the corner of de Maisonneuve and Prince Albert, in the Victoria Village end of Westmount. Rather than a tower, it is eight two storey townhouses: six of them carved out of the office building that already stood on the corner, and two built new on what used to be the parking lot. The plan was designed to sit inside Westmount's R3 zoning for one and two family homes, which caps height at about 35 feet and site coverage at 40 percent, so the buildings stay low and read as houses. Homes run roughly 2,100 to 4,200 square feet and are fitted as private residences with their own elevators, gardens, terraces and indoor parking, which is why the project is marketed as house living with condominium convenience. The address is a few minutes on foot from Victoria Avenue, Westmount Park and the Vendome station.
